The location was amazing, it was not difficult to walk mostly every where we wanted to go. Property was clean and the view was good. The soap in the bathroom smelled so good and the pressure and heat from the shower was perfect.

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

So much to see there beyond a deep dish pizza, and this obsession with food masks some real magic. It is so hard to get around that I'd consider getting digs out of town a bit and hire a car, but the public transport is OK and the trains a bit of fun. It is very expensive everywhere, and almost impossible to figure out the other fun bits like the ferries, park activity, what is closed off for the holidays and what is not, getting salad and vegetables and don't start me about the coffee. It is safe enough and the beggars not that intrusive and most of them sophisticated. Overall there is a lot to see and if you do your homework the most fun in a living museum that I have had for quite some time. The great lake is ignored, despite its formidable qualifications. There is effectively no way to get around on it and you need to drive to the zoo and botanical gardens and places that ferries could reach better and with more fun. I could advise Chicago on how to be a five star vacation journey and I do love it but would do things a bit differently.

My husband and I went for our 25th anniversary.

My husband and I went for our 25th anniversary. We had an amazing time! We relaxed our first day. After that, we went on the Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, The Willis Tower, and just walked around. We drove from Detroit, so we drove downtown and parked using ParkChicago.com, which is much cheaper than paying for the lots.

Chicago is a great small-town big city.

Chicago is a great small-town big city. It is very approachable, easy to navigate and seeps with American culture. It is the home of the Blues and one can still see some of the greats performing there on the weekend. Buddy Guy's Legends, Rosa's Lounge and the amazing Kingston Mines are classics. One should also take a trip to Chess Records, where the Blues is being preserved for future generations. Of course, there is also the Chicago Art Institute, the Field Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Adler Planetarium. Take a walk on the Navy pier on a sunny day and enjoy the waterfront views. Of course, if you can get there for the Blues Festival, it is a must. Just don't forget to go to Gino's East for a deep-dish pizza and remember to bring a white marker, so your visit will remain for posterity. Enjoy!

The hotel is in a very good location, perfect for all activities in downtown Chicago. The room was nice and clean, and I did not hear the much sound from the street with the window closed. However, the door to the corridor did not block any noise, and one of the other doors made a kind of squeaking sound whenever opened or closed, often during the late evening, which was annoying.
